Inclusion of Gender Perspective in the Work of Public Institutions
Module objectives:
In this module we will understand:
- The notion of gender perspective,
- Differences between gender perspectives in public institutions,
- Policies and measures to stimulate the implementation of the gender perspective,
- Inclusion of gender perspectives in development areas, and
- Gender budgeting.
In this module, we will get acquainted with gender perspectives, the need for them and their impact on the implementation of public policies. Perspective, as a means of determining how people see things and events, also determines the interaction of people with their environment. Therefore, the gender perspective is of particular importance especially when it comes to creating public policies for the development of public and institutional spaces that are dedicated to all. In order to reach levels where public policies are determined by gender perspectives, we understand that affirmative action measures and policies are needed on the inclusion of perspectives that are less involved. In addition, gender budgeting plays an essential role in setting and steering state policy and investment goals.
The course takes roughly 20 minutes to complete, although it does not need to be done in one session or sequentially.
